Community health clinic initiative

PROPOSED Malaika COMMUNITY CLINIC

in GIRIBE VILLAGE, MIGORI KENYA

There are several benefits to having this community medical clinic in this part of Migori as  Angels of Africa envisions.  Benefits include:

  • Timely Medical Services - With a healthcare facility nearby, residents can promptly seek medical attention for acute illnesses and injuries, reducing the risk of complications and ensuring early intervention for better treatment outcomes.

  • Maternal and Child Health - Pregnant women and children will benefit from prenatal care, immunizations, nutritional support, and skilled birthing assistance, reducing maternal and infant mortality rates and ensuring healthier outcomes for both mothers and babies.

  • Preventive Care Services - The healthcare center will offer preventive services such as vaccinations, screenings, and health check-ups, enabling early detection and management of diseases, thus preventing them from progressing to advanced stages.

  • Essential Medications Availability - The healthcare facility will stock essential medications and medical supplies, ensuring that community members have access to life-saving medicines and treatments without having to travel long distances or incur high costs.

  • Chronic Disease Management - Residents with chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and HIV/AIDS can access regular check-ups, medication refills, and counseling services, leading to better disease management, improved adherence to treatment regimens, and a higher quality of life.

  • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention - Through health education campaigns, the healthcare facility will raise awareness about common health issues, promote healthy lifestyles, and empower individuals to take proactive steps to prevent diseases and maintain optimal health.

PROPOSED transformation of the chicken coop (barn) into a welcoming residential space

Recognizing the community's preference for free-range chickens over caged ones, Angels of Africa's board made a compassionate decision of transforming this barn into a welcoming residential space. This space will accommodate volunteers and friends joining us on mission trips, providing them with a comfortable and homey environment during their stay in our community.
