Community Food Crops Project

Updated: Apr 27

Here at Angels of Africa, we're deeply committed to ensuring food security within our communities. One of the ways we accomplish this is by utilizing some of our properties to cultivate nutritious crops. Not only does this endeavor generate revenue to sustain our organization, but it also plays a crucial role in alleviating food insecurity among the most vulnerable members of our society, safeguarding them from hunger and malnutrition.

Furthermore, we're excited to forge partnerships with local educational institutions, to leverage our cornfields as outdoor classrooms. This collaboration enriches the learning experience for students while also promoting agricultural education and sustainable farming practices within the community.

Looking ahead, Angels of Africa envisions establishing a school food bank as part of our forthcoming Community Kitchen program. This initiative aims to provide essential nourishment to school-going children, especially during prolonged periods of drought or other crises, ensuring they have access to wholesome meals to support their growth, learning, and overall well-being. Through these efforts, we strive to create a more resilient and food-secure future for all.
